Trésor de Liège (Treasure house)

As part of the monastic outbuildings, this museum presents a journey through the art and history of the former principality of Liège. The greater part of the Treasurehouse comes from the now-disappeared cathedral of St. Lambert, including two sculpted 11th century ivory pieces, and two masterpieces of gold- and silversmith work: the reliquary bust of saint Lambert (early 16th century), and the reliquary given by Charles The Bold (15th century).

Château de Waroux

The current building is of medieval origin as the square-based keep and circular stone walls testify. The entrance is opposite the keep and the polygonal inside courtyard combines brick and cut stone. The Château de Waroux is one of the rare Belgian castles that is circular in shape. Fort de Flémalle

The two world wars were the two major events experienced by this fort. The atmosphere of 1940 is reproduced by a 3D reconstitution and that of 1914 is recreated through a torch-lit discovery of the fort. Fort Pontisse

?This 3-hectare fort was built between 1888 and 1892. In 1914, it was the first fort to be bombarded by the 42-cm shells fired by the Big Bertha guns of the German Army. During the inter-war period, it was rearmed and was again bombarded in 1940. An association has purchased the site to ensure it is preserved. Some of the former military premises have been transformed into stables.

This remarkable example of Liège architecture at the start of the 18th century is the result of a combination between the influence of Louis XIV style and the Meuse region’s traditions. This collegiate church was founded around 980 by the first Prince-Bishop Notger, who was buried here.
