This museum, located in the house that was the birthplace of Grétry, covers the works and life of this illustrious artist. André-Modeste Grétry was a great late 18th century composer and was born in Liège in 1741. During his career, he mixed with great men such as Voltaire or Rousseau. Thanks to reconstitutions of the house’s furnishings, documents and personal items, visitors can discover the artist and his era.
Due to renovation work, the Grétry Museum will be closed from September 15, 2023.
