Liege in two days
Let yourself be surprised by the unique charm of old Liège's archetypal narrow streets. With its many shops and local craftspeople, as well as shopping centres, Liège is indisputably the ideal city for going shopping in Belgium!
Day one
Morning
La Boverie
Why not start the day with a museum? We suggest that you start with the Boverie museum, an essential visit when staying in Liège. This museum will thrill you with its permanent collection from the fine arts museum. From the Renaissance to the 20th century, you can also admire the works of major local artists as well as internationally-renowned artists: Ingres, Picasso, Chagall, Lambert Lombard, Delvaux, Monet, etc.
The Boverie Park

Evening
The great scenes of Liège
The city is brimming with archetypal or fashionable bars and restaurants where you can refresh yourself, relax or even discover local specialities such as regional beers or the traditional Peket gin!
After a well-deserved meal, you can finish your evening with a flourish in front of one of Liège's major stages. The sumptuous Opéra Royal de Wallonie, the theatre, the philharmonic orchestra, the forum and many other cultural establishments will enthral you with their sumptuous buildings and top-quality performances
For the more festive, why not forge your own opinion of Liège's reputation for partying? Choose between the friendly atmosphere of the terraces on Place du Marché, Place de la Cathédrale, Place des Carmes, Rue Roture or take a tour round the many bars in the Carré district.
Day two
Morning

La Batte market
Whilst Sunday is indeed a day of rest, the Grand Léopold district is the exception to this rule. The ultimate tourist district has the La Batte market as its heartbeat. It is a veritable institution and is the oldest market in Belgium. Its colourful stalls propose fruit and vegetables, cheeses, clothes, flowers, books, etc.
Afternoon
Discover the city independently using our routes which you can find in the Balades liégoises application. Stroll through the magnificent domain of the slopes of the citadel, a natural setting in the city centre and, for the bravest among you, do not forget to climb the 364 steps of the Montagne de Bueren stairs...
For those who would rather discover the city centre's museums, at the Grand Curtius, Archeoforum, Cité Miroir or also the Museum of Walloon Life, you will learn plenty of things about Liège!
Why not stay for a day extra to have the time to discover the Outremeuse district and other attractions in Liège?
